Eligibility Requirements: To qualify for a medical cannabis card in Utah, patients must be diagnosed with one of the state-approved medical conditions, such as chronic pain, cancer, PTSD additional information is needed when using this qualifying condition, epilepsy, or nausea associated with a serious medical condition. A recommendation from a certified medical provider is required. ​

Application Process: Patients must apply for a medical cannabis card through the state’s online portal. After receiving a recommendation from a licensed provider, patients can apply and pay a registration fee. You can register here important to note that after completing a consultation with a QMP you must meet with a Pharmacist on your first Visit to any pharmacy ​

Purchasing Cannabis: Medical cannabis can only be purchased from licensed dispensaries in Utah. Patients are not permitted to purchase cannabis from other individuals or out-of-state sources.

Medical Cannabis Cards: The medical cannabis card must be renewed annually. Patients can access cannabis products once they have a valid card, and they may also qualify for a caregiver to assist with purchasing and administering medical cannabis if needed.
